Hi, my name is Bolt! I am looking for my new family. I’m a youthful 10-year-old male schnauzer being fostered just north of the TN/KY line. I am a slight fella, weighing in at only 14 pounds. My humans call me very handsome, and quite quirky – and they tell me I am especially entertaining and endearing Due to my white and gray parti coat, blue eyes and demeanor, I am a very unique schnauzer, indeed! I am anxious due to all the changes in my life, so it takes me a while to warm up to new people, but after a little bit of time I am an everything dog – I will be everything you could possibly need! I love pets, belly rubs, cuddling my humans, and most of all - fetch. If no one wants to play with me, I will play fetch all by myself, which my humans find entertaining. I’ll toss a toy out of my mouth, chase it, pick it up, toss it, chase it, pick it up, and repeat until I’m worn out. When I smell something good, I point my nose up and move it around; it reminds my humans of the cartoon of Mickey Mouse elevating towards the pie on the windowsill. I’m an excited boy full of life! When it is time for me to do something I enjoy, like get treats or new toys or when my humans come home, I will run all around a room jumping on anything I can find. I am so excited, I can hardly stand it!
I’m good with grown humans and other dogs, but children and cats are not my thing. Also, you’ll want to know – I have a couple of big fears – I do not like storms, and I do not like going outside by myself after dark. Also very important - I have some allergies. Every morning, I take a Claritin that my human hides in a berry, and once a month I must visit the vet man for a Cytopoint shot. I feel much better with those two things done on schedule. My humans think that I may be allergic to chicken, so we have
been avoiding that. I am really a healthy fella - up-to-date on all my vaccines, neutered, and had a recent dental. I am so excited to find my new forever home. My foster mom and dad have given me so much love and helped me build back lost confidence. I’m going to make a great addition to a family that has other friendly dogs that I can watch and learn from….and humans that are patient and understanding of my allergies, fears, and initial anxieties of being in a new place. If you are one of those special humans who can love a little guy like me, please go to www.schnauzerloverescue.net and ask for me – Bolt in Tennessee! I can’t wait to meet you!
