Reggie2
Meet Florida’s Senior Gentleman, 'Reggie.' He will be celebrating his 14th birthday in March. If after reading his biography, you are interested in knowing more details about this very affectionate gentleman, please complete an adoption application on the SLR web site and enter ‘Reggie’ as the senior boy you would like to provide a forever home to.

Reggie4Reggie is a handsome mix that sheds very little. He weighs in at 25 lbs., has natural ears and a docked tail. Of course he is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He recently had a dental and only had (2) teeth extracted. Reggie is a healthy boy. He is house trained and has free roam of his foster’s home.  No crating for this FL gentleman. Reggie is leash trained. He loves his walking (trotting) time in the  neighborhood. He will also take time to stop and smell the roses!

Reggie5Reggie is in his ‘golden years.’ As with many seniors (canine and human) his hearing has diminished - he is deaf but is still living the good life. He is learning hand signals from his foster mom. He can be an Alpha at times so it is best that he be an only dog. He deserves all of your love.  He is very protective of his food, toys and treats from the other dogs in his foster home.  He loves his foster parents and loves to be with them. He will climb onto his foster mom’s lap. He enjoys playing with his toys with his foster parents.  Children (and their friends) may be too much for him. Reggie loves to run and jump in the fenced-in backyard at his foster’s home but a fenced yard is not mandatory.
